Today, we're starting our second week in Vietnam with CHANTS DU VIETNAM (union des vietnamiens de france, SF 774-218, early 70's). This record is in the same mood as the previous post exept it's from an obscure french label (a vietnamese cultural association).
It starts with the South Vietnam's hymn (instrumental), then 2 gorgeous popular songs with woman vocals and subtle backing instruments on track 02 & 04 (for those who enjoyed it last time) and a song with traditionnal instruments and various men vocals... Sure 10 minutes well spent! Next week will be our last day in Vietnam for this time and it will sound pretty different, stay around...
